So frigging sad. At least he got to leave his mark on the world. A pretty good mark at that.
Rest In Peace. You were a damned good actor, and you’ll always be Brother Gilbert to me.
Awesome. Make sure you check his other ones out.
Frigging hilarious

No dicking about, one of the best films I’ve seen. The acting was incredible, with a flawless script and several actual laugh-out-loud moments.
Eisenberg is an absolute pleasure to watch . The sharp wit and instant deadpan comebacks are present almost every minute throughout the film, but he manages to instill the same passion and drive that Zuckerberg clearly had.
I also have to pay tribute to the supporting actors. Justin Timberlake was surprisingly good.
I would recommend everyone to go and see it, and to get over the stigma that this is a “film about Facebook”. It’s not. It’s a film about one person’s dream and the issues they had getting there.
A seriously enjoyable film, and one of the few during which my attention didn’t wain whatsoever. It deserves all of the criticial aclaim that’s come its way.
Side Notes
Without giving too much of the story away, this film makes the Winklevoss brothers look like clowns. Good. These people were after nothing more than a quick buck. To say that they came up with the original idea of Facebook is ludicrous. The best quote throughout the film is during a Legal session, when Eisenberg suggests that if the brothers had actually come up with the idea behind Facebook, they would have made Facebook.
Lawrence Lessig (Harvard Lecturer) quotes:
“…But from the story as told, we certainly know enough to know that any legal system that would allow these kids to extort $65 million from the most successful business this century should be ashamed of itself. Did Zuckerberg breach his contract? Maybe, for which the damages are more like $650, not $65 million. Did he steal a trade secret? Absolutely not. Did he steal any other “property”? Absolutely not—the code for Facebook was his, and the “idea” of a social network is not a patent. It wasn’t justice that gave the twins $65 million; it was the fear of a random and inefficient system of law.”
What is astounding is that as of today, Facebook has just completed another round of Funding aquisitions, and is now valued at between $41-50bn. To gain an idea of how quickly this company is growing, take a look below:
September 2010: $25bn
November 2010: $41bn
I’m looking forward to seeing what products they come up with this year, and what markets they go into.

1) Get organised again
2) Tidy everything. Room, iPhone, Mac
3) Listen to more music
4) Watch more films
5) Organise time and things to do
6) Blog more. Not everyday, but more. No reposts or anything like that, just original content. I’ve so much in my head that doesn’t get out and it just sits there doing sod all.
7) Sort out finances. It’s this year or nothing at all. I’m in the best possible position to do so.
8) Look for a house. Spend a bit of time on this one, don’t rush into it only to be disappointed.
9) Sort out my iPhoto library.
